Depression Diary

Having a good time at the moment. I know it won't last.

Now, I know that isn't very positive of me, but I have a reason for saying that. What has lifted me is only temporary, what depresses me is constant.

A walk in the park lifts depressives while we're there, but it's not a cure. What cures depressives is when the reason for the depression is removed, and that is not always possible.

Can you cure someone who's childhood was scarred by bullying? Can you erase memories or disablities? How about this one: can you cure other people's bad attitudes?

Depression tends to outlast any 'cure' because what is suggested to remove it doesn't address the issue of WHY someone is depressed. When the cause is addressed, the symptoms will go away.

Only, remember that not all causes have a cure.
