Another Day, Another Blog

The tour rolls on unabated. Today I'm guesting at Claire Dunn's blog and website. Claire is an established author of romantic thrillers with a twist. Mortal Fire is already out.

To keep you in the mood, here's a picture for you.

See you Wednesday

Haha! You gotta love that logic. ;)

Heading over to Claire's blog now.

For some reason, I couldn't comment on Claire's blog, but I thought your post was really interesting. I'd never thought about SF that way before.

I remember my mind being blown by a similar thing when I was young... GHOTI can be pronounced 'fish'. English is a mixed-up language!

[gh as in enough/ o as in women / ti as in attention]

I don't know why either, Dana, I'll see if I've pressed all the right buttons (Martin's the expert here) and make it work.

Dana: The wonders of English spelling.

Dana: Claire's on the case. SF is such a wide genre it's almost too easy to write in it.

Chloe: It's an oldie but a goodie. May the Lord help anyone who tries to defend English spelling to me.

Claire: It's something to do with logging in. What do people need to log into?

Hahaha.. Living in Idaho I love the spelling but I don't know how they would fit "Famous Ghoughphtheightteau" on the license plates! :D

Mimi: In very small letters?

Greetings Martin,

My articulately, articulate friend, thank you for bringing forth this grammatical angle on the mighty potato.

Now, I'm going to start thinking about, why is "why" spelt with a "w" and why is "you", spelt with a "y" and why is "sea", spelt with an "s" and why is "eye" spelt with an "e"...

Wishing you much success with your unabated tour, good sir.

Gary
