Lily The Pink

No guest today, so here's a video of Lily The Pink by The Scaffold, one of the oddest songs ever recorded.

The video is blocked for me, but I think I know this song anyway. Now I'll be humming it all day.

It's blocked for me, too. :(

Lisa: A definite ear-worm.

Dana: Must be region specific. Sorry. Just hum the birdie dance instead.

Great song, Martin! Thanks for sharing!

I think this is an embarrassing song if I were caught singing it, but heck, it kind of sticks with you. :)

It's blocked here, Martin, but I've heard it for years and love it. I grew up listening to The Irish Rovers sing it. And St. Patrick's Day is just around corner (sort of) :-) Thanks for reminding me. :-)

I remember this. Heck! Happy Valentines x

Emily: You're very welcome.

Al: I sing it a lot without embarrassment. I'm not sure about other people's embarrassment though.

Teresa: Glad I could spread the joy.

Valentina: NO! You're far too young to remember this one.

And did you know that Paul McCartney's (yes - Paul of Beatles fame) brother was in this group (Scaffold). Great car sing-along song from my childhood days when returning from Mornington Peninsula holday!

Mark: Yep, I did know. He went by the name of Mike McGear if I recall.
